Tower Tree
A non-Malaysian native but thrives well in tropical climate. Can grow very tall up to 50m or more. Very sculpural and looks great if planted in groups. Slightly sappy branches and sheds leaves so steer away from ponds and pools.
yes, i luv this plant too. another one dat looks somewhat similar but of a different species is de elephant fern @ paku gajah that can grow up to 20 feet high. apparently it has some medicinal properties too.
Okay, I am no botanist. My love of plants probably unconsciously started during my childhood years prancing around in our garden in KL catching butterflies and ladybirds. I was trained in design and have pleasure in grasping the environment that people live. My interest in plants heightened when we moved to our first home that came with a decent-sized garden. I was spoilt for choice of the diversity that our blessed climate can offer. However, plants can be temperamental. This guide is based on my experience in cultivating plants that are generally grown in our gardens. I use vernacular names and also scientific ones if I can manage it, feel free to provide with the latter. Constructive comments are most welcome.
